A software application which is developed to significantly increase the operational efficiency of logistics battalions has been selected out of a number of forty submissions to the challenge. There was a great deal of interest in the Yarded team presenting the potential of digital solutions in military logistics processes to the Slovenian jury on the 14th of November, and discussions are expected to begin in the coming weeks regarding scaling up to the NATO level.
The logistics battalions in Germany struggle with inefficient analog command and control systems coupled with a lack of personnel, making yarded - an efficient logistics tool for emergencies - one of the solutions. The marshaling area - which is a large area in which objects are stored in ports and railway stations before being shipped to another destination - which is organized by Logistic Battallion 163 RSOM (Reception, Staging, Onward Movement) - was proved to be outdated and inflexible by Logistic Battallion 163 RSOM (Reception, Staging, Onward Movement)..
