The first Acura NSX Type S supercar was auctioned off to raise money towards the creation of the new Engineering Learning Lunchbox, which was done in collaboration with Honda and thanks to their support. The very first Acura NSX Type S produced in serial form was auctioned off for $1.1 million in 2021, with Honda donating every penny to charity, including COSI, to encourage STEAM education for young people across the United States.
Each Engineering Learning Lunchbox includes five engineering-focused learning activities and 10 hours of STEAM content, showcasing the range of STEAM vocations at Honda, from electrical engineering to aerospace. In order to emphasise the value of engineering education for future employment chances at cutting-edge manufacturing businesses like Honda, it also contains a game called “Honda Career Connections.”
