As part of a previous agreement with Sino-Synergy Hydrogen Energy Technology (“Sino-Synergy”) to supply 100 hydrogen-powered trucks, XCMG, one of the top three manufacturers of construction machinery in the world, has delivered thousands of hydrogen-powered trucks to its end customer, Mengxi Zhenghe Group. In China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, these vehicles will be utilised to build a mine close to the city of Ordos.
A ceremony to commemorate the delivery was organised in Suzhou by the three involved businesses. In accordance with a strategic partnership agreement, XCMG will provide Sino-Synery with more than 1,000 hydrogen-powered trucks by the year 2025. Sino-Synery is a leading hydrogen fuel cell company in China with a number of industry firsts in terms of industrialization, supply scope, and market share. The arrangement is essential to XCMG’s ambitions to strengthen its position as a leader in China’s hydrogen fuel transportation industry.
Luo Dong, deputy general manager of Mengxi Zhenghe Group, the deal’s end user, said, “We believe that using XCMG’s hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks would help us establish safe, effective, cheap, and low-carbon transportation in most mining sites.” This is yet another sizable bulk order for big trucks from XCMG.
