Muon Space, an end-to-end Space Systems Provider that designs, builds, and operates mission-tailored low-earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellations, in partnership with Earth Fire Alliance, is proud to announce the FireSat Constellation.
The first phase of the FireSat constellation will consist of three Muon Halo satellites equipped with state-of-the-art 6-band multispectral IR (IR) instruments.

The FireSat constellation has an advanced multispectral IR instrument that distinguishes genuine wildfire events from false positives and enhances the accuracy and reliability of wildfire detection and assessment of fire intensity.

Chris Van Arsdale is a member of the Earth Fire Alliance Board of Directors and he stated that the dataset will be a valuable foundation for Earth Science research.
The FireSat constellation will provide frequent, near-real time fire operational guidance to first responders and incident managers.
