As of today, the Naval Surface Technology & Innovation Consortium (NSTIC) announces that it has grown to over 1,000 members since its inception in 2019.. The NSTIC members are integral to the advancement of naval surface technology through research, development, and testing based on their vast innovative experience across 22 different fields of technology. It is the second milestone that NSTIC has achieved in the last six months, as the Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) has also reached a value of over $1 billion across 79 awards for the acquisition and development of rapid prototype technologies over a period of six months.

"Through this dynamic partnership with industry of 1,000 members is making a difference in our ability to deliver products to the warfighter and is also helping to fuel the demand signal for not only Dahlgren Division but across the research and development enterprise," said Cindy Montrief, Lead Customer Advocate, OTA Program Lead at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWC DD).
In his remarks, Rear Admiral Tom Kearney, USN (Ret.), NSTIC Executive Director, said the organization has become a guiding light in an age-old quest for improving the defense acquisition process. It has been demonstrated that direct and open collaboration among the three pillars of the NSTIC OTA Consortium (NSWC DD, ATI, and 1000 Members) can result in the rapid development of advanced capabilities that are of high quality and accessible.
In response to the Government's needs, NSTIC members provide innovative prototype technologies and solutions, ultimately benefitting the warfighter by providing them with rapid and efficient responses. Since NSTIC had such an extensive membership base, it was able to provide crucial technology and respond to urgent needs of NSWC DD with the capability and capability it possessed.
