In 2021, anti-Semitic incidents hit a record high, and many signs point to 2022 breaking that record by a wide margin. As political, sporting, and entertainment figures popularise anti-Semitism, anti-Semitic crimes have become nearly routine.

Despite Jews making up barely two percent of the population, FBI Director Christopher Wray recently stated that 63 percent of all hate crimes are motivated by antisemitism. This past year made clear that every Jew has a target on his or her back, from a horrifying hostage-taking incident during services at a synagogue in Colleyville, Texas, to a wave of attacks on Hasidic Jews in New York City.

In light of this, The Focus Project has introduced Antisemitism-911.org as a new tool to assist people who are feeling threatened, intimidated, or harmed as well as those who just want to be ready.

The Antisemitism-911 website offers easy-to-use materials to assist any victim or witness in coping with the situation and responding, so they won’t have to go far and wide for assistance, guidance, or more resources, whether they are students, teachers, parents, or employers. Synagogues, Jewish community centres, and other institutions can utilise this website to quickly determine which group is the best resource. ADL, Hadassah, the Brandeis Center, StandWithUs, the Israeli American Council, and Echoes and Reflections are among the approved sources.
