We are delighted to announce that OQ Technology, the first and fastest growing 5G IoT satellite operator, is delighted to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with o2 Telefónica, ushering in a new era for global IoT connectivity via satellite.
O2 Telefónica will roll out global 5G roaming services starting in Q2 2024, enabling businesses to deploy Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) solutions in previously inaccessible places. This partnership will enable businesses to take advantage of reliable IoT services, even in previously inaccessible areas.

In order to provide business customers with real-time monitoring and control over their SIM cards around the world, OQ Technology's satellite network integrates seamlessly with Telefónica IPX Cloud and Kite, o2 Telefónica's award-winning IoT connectivity management platform.
As a result of a collaboration with OQ Technology, o2 Telefónica has launched a hybrid mobile satellite connectivity service, which provides global coverage for IoT networks. Data is transmitted securely to customers and a Service Level Agreement is all that is required.
Perspectives on Leadership:
It is with great pleasure that Omar Qaise, Founder & CEO of OQ Technology, expresses delight at the Telefónica partnership that marks a historic milestone and enables o2 Telefónica users to avail of 5G IoT roaming services around the world.

There are many opportunities for new business in the following areas:
The use of satellite connectivity will unlock IoT applications in areas where terrestrial networks have limitations. This includes connecting stationary IoT devices such as agriculture sensors in remote areas and facilitating IoT applications across the oceans around the world.
A new service - IoT Data Ready - is now available:
Telefónica's Kite platform will introduce a new feature early in 2024 called "IoT Data Ready," which simplifies the processing of NB-IoT data, and enables users to connect traditional IT systems with NB-IoT data.
