The Perrier-sponsored list of The World’s 50 Best Bars 2022 was presented on Tuesday, October 4 in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.

In their 14th year, the awards bring together the world’s bars to honour the successes of the worldwide cocktail scene. The event was held outside of London for the first time this year.

The World’s 50 Best Bars 2022, sponsored by Perrier, names Barcelona’s Paradiso as the top bar; this is the first time a bar outside of London or New York has won the honour.

Paradiso presents a grandiose vision of the speakeasy, fusing expertise, accuracy, and inventiveness with a constant sense of joy, hidden behind a refrigerator at the rear of a pastrami store in Barcelona. Owners Giacomo Giannotti and Margarita Sader, along with their staff, offer expertly made drinks while maintaining a dedication to sustainability.

Other bars in the top five include Tayr + Elementary in London (No. 2), Sips in Barcelona (No. 3), Licorera Limantour in Mexico City (No. 4), and Little Red Door in Paris (No. 5). (No.5). You may view the entire list here.
