In collaboration with the Pink Boots Society, Yakima Chief Hops (YCH), a producer of 100% farmer-owned hops, is excited to announce the beginning of pre-orders for its 6th annual Pink Boots Blend (PBS).
PBS is a global non-profit organisation with the goal of empowering women and non-binary individuals working in the alcoholic and fermented beverage industries.
With the annual Pink Boots Blend from Yakima Chief Hops, brewers honour women and non-binary people who work in the beer and alcohol sector. The Pink Boots Society donates a portion of the proceeds to its scholarship fund. Wicked Barley Brewing provided the image.
A yearly hop blend created by YCH as part of its dedication to supporting people in the craft beer sector is called the Pink Boots Blend. In the past six years, YCH and the Pink Boots Society have collaborated to fundraise for women and non-binary individuals, raising more than $500,000 in total through the Pink Boots Blend.
A pre-order registry for the craft brewing community interested in producing a Pink Boots beer opens after PBS members jointly choose the blend. Sales revenue is donated in part to the PBS scholarship fund. This contributes to giving women and non-binary persons in the workplace educational opportunities.
