Anomaly Berlin has had exceptional momentum in the five years since its founding and is now firmly established as a prominent player in the sector.
The office has continued to expand with recent successes like Gaggenau and Hinge. It is well known for its longtime, award-winning work with Zalando and Rimowa globally, culture-forward domestic work for Google and TikTok, as well as upstream innovation for Nespresso.
Some talent changes are occurring across the agency as the office broadens its own model.
Executive Creative Director Azsa West is relocating after a year in Berlin. The important decision to move back to Portland, Oregon, in the US was motivated by her family’s wish to go home.
According to Simon Owen, Partner & CEO of Anomaly Berlin “We are heartbroken to lose Azsa since she is a truly extraordinary person and a gifted artist. We completely accept her decision, though, as family is always of utmost importance and no one can resist the attraction of returning home. It’s been a brief but very precious time with us, and we wish her nothing but the best in the future, which we have no doubt will be nothing short of fantastic. We have the luxury of taking our time with any form of succession planning due to our distinctive business model and the strength of our current staff.”
With the addition of Nadine Nedrebö as a Group Creative Director to the agency’s current GCD structure created to oversee all client output, creative leadership is further evolving. Nedrebö brings a plethora of international expertise to the table. She has held positions at agencies including DDB, Jung von Matt, and Heimat as well as held internal positions at Zalando as Creative Director and Günther for a number of years.
