The “Smart Cities Challenge,” which was introduced at the second Global AI Summit, is open to participants until January 8, 2023. The Saudi Data and AI Authority, the Royal Commission for the city of Riyadh, the municipality of the region of Riyadh, and the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing are working together strategically to arrange the Challenge.
The Challenge, which will take place virtually, aims to create cutting-edge solutions to enhance the urban environment in the cities of the Kingdom, to identify and reduce visual pollution through technology, and to take advantage of both local knowledge and global expertise in the search for solutions based on data and AI.
The Challenge intends to foster talent and skill development in the areas of data, AI, and smart cities while also elevating the Kingdom to the top echelon of data-driven economies. Additionally, with awards reaching up to “one million” Saudi Riyals, the Challenge targets data scientists, AI experts, and students worldwide.
Those who are interested in competing in the events that make up the Challenge can register and learn more at the following website: https://smartathon.hackerearth.com/.
