SHEIN X Challenge Goes Global
A global online fashion and lifestyle retailer, SHEIN, has recently expanded its hugely successful SHEIN X Challenge program to include participants from all over the world, including Japan and Brazil, where the SHEIN X Designer Incubator Program has recently been launched.SHEIN X Challenge 2023 was only open to submissions from EU member states and the United Kingdom. In response to the overwhelming demand from designers around the world, SHEIN X Challenge 2024 will now accept submissions from designers all over the world. This initiative is a part of the SHEIN X Designer Incubator Program, which celebrates its third anniversary in 2024 as a part of the SHEIN X Challenge. With the launch of the SHEIN X Designer Incubator Program in January 2021, a total of 4,600 designers and artists from all over the world have participated in the program, launching more than 41,000 original creations.This year, aspiring designers from around the world who wish to participate must submit three complete Spring Summer 2024 women's looks (top and bottom) to the SHEIN X Challenge 2024 website. This year's design challenge is focused on the theme of "Radiance". It is important to submit your work by 23:59:59 on the 15th of February 2024, local time.A list of all submissions that meet the entry requirements and criteria will be published on the SHEIN X Challenge website, which will allow members of the public to vote for their favourite submissions. Those 20 submissions that are in the top 20 will go on to the second round of the SHEIN X Challenge 2024, where the judges will determine the ten finalists.The judges for the SHEIN X Challenge 2024 have been selected for their wealth of experience across various sectors of the fashion industry, and they consist of industry giants, including Adrien Roberts (International Fashion Education Consultant, Italy), Julien Fournié (Founder of Julien Fournié Haute Couture, Paris), Jill Wanless (Editor, United Kingdom), and Colin Horgan (Independent Designer, Ireland), among others."Competitions like the SHEIN X Challenge are crucial because there is a lot of talent out there that is yet to be discovered. By providing these aspiring designers with platforms, they will have the opportunity to express their creativity and showcase their designs," said Jill Wanless, Judge of the SHEIN X Challenge in 2023 and 2024.In selecting the shortlisted submissions, the judges will consider the participant's ability to translate a strong, original concept into a design, while also balancing customer demands, seasonal trends, and commercial feasibility.In the course of their journey, all 10 finalists will have the opportunity to participate in a workshop on sustainable fashion, as well as a masterclass by the judges, before they present their submissions to the judges during the final round of SHEIN X Challenge 2024.. There will be an announcement of the winners in March of 2024. There will be a prize of EUR10,000 awarded to the submission that receives the most online votes. In addition, a panel of judges will select three submissions for special awards, each of which will receive EUR5,000.. The remaining six finalists will be awarded EUR3,000 each as part of the prize package.
