Shelagh Glaser has been named chief financial officer by Synopsys, Inc. (Nasdaq: SNPS), beginning December 2, 2022. Trac Pham, the previous CFO, will stay on until December 2022 in order to ensure a smooth transition after he announced his retirement in December 2021.
Aart de Geus, chairman and CEO of Synopsys, said, “We are thrilled to add Shelagh to the Synopsys executive team. “She not only brings a stellar track record of financial and operational experience in the semiconductor and software industries, but also a stellar track record of scaling larger businesses while consistently boosting profitability. Her qualifications, combined with her enthusiasm and capacity for handling tricky business situations, will be a huge help to Synopsys as we work to realise our ambitious plans for expansion.”
Glaser joins Synopsys from Zendesk, a software-as-a-service CRM company, where she spent the previous two years in the role of chief financial officer. She oversaw global finance, which includes finance and strategy, accounting, corporate reporting and forecasting, as well as procurement, real estate, and investor relations, before it was acquired by a group led by Hellman & Friedman and Permira. Glaser is a member of the audit committee and serves on the board of PubMatic, a pioneer in the digital advertising supply chain.
