The next generation of gift shopping has been unveiled by Simon®, the global leader in premier shopping, dining, entertainment, and mixed-use destinations, to help shoppers instantly find the perfect present this holiday season. A team of free personal shoppers supported by Simon's new "HolidAI" gift finding tool powered by the latest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology is available to shoppers to assist them in finding the perfect gift.
It is set to launch on Black Friday, Nov. 24, at Simon properties in New York and Los Angeles. In the event that shoppers are searching for gift ideas, a Simon "helper elf" will be available to offer instant assistance with ChatGPT 4.0-powered technology, which will be connected to a customized database of retailer-specific gift ideas.
In the spirit of the holiday season, Simon's Chief Marketing Officer Lee Sterling said, "Shopping at our centers is always festive and we are excited to make the experience even more special this year with our Simon 'helper elves' who will be using customized artificial intelligence to make gift finding easier for busy shoppers this year." Thanks to the latest advances in artificial intelligence, holiday shoppers will experience the thrill of pinpointing the perfect gift as they interact with our lively, knowledgeable helper elves.
On Nov. 24, the Simon HolidAI Gift Finder experience will be rolled out at Roosevelt Field® in Garden City, N.Y., as well as Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance, Calif., and will run every Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 23. Activation hours will be between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. local time.
A team of HolidAI helper elves will be positioned in major shopping centers across the country in order to engage shoppers in conversations aimed at pinpointing the perfect in-mall gift ideas that will satisfy even the hardest to please friends and family members.. Using computer tablets, the helper elves will be able to direct shoppers through a series of predictively-personalized questions that are generated by artificial intelligence. Using the Simon HolidAI Gift Finder, shoppers will not only save time by choosing the right gift, but they will also be able to find out exactly where in the center to locate the perfect gift.

When they are not busy helping shoppers, the helper elves will be spreading cheer through impromptu singing and dancing performances to make the holiday shopping experience even more festive.
"We know our shoppers crave connecting in person, and we know they find joy in discovering the new and different more than any other time of the year," Sterling continued. "Our HolidAI Gift Finder experience not only elevates gift giving in a new and engaging way, but it's also a place where another special holiday memory can be made."
As part of its latest interactive shopping innovation, Simon has developed the HolidAI gift finder tool in order to create an enjoyable, efficient, and productive shopping experience for customers. A few weeks ago, Simon announced the expansion of its digital search platform, Simon Search, to 187 destinations across the nation.
In addition to owning and operating premier shopping, dining, entertainment, and mixed-use facilities, Simon® is also an S&P 100 company (Simon Property Group, NYSE: SPG) which operates across North America, Europe and Asia. We generate billions of dollars in annual sales through our properties across North America, Europe, and Asia, which serve as community gathering places for millions of people every day.
