Tata Motors Limited has reached a significant milestone by adding 500,000 vehicles to the Connected Vehicle Platform (CVP), which supports the company’s entire lineup of Commercial, Passenger, and Electric Vehicles. TATA Elxsi, a leading provider of design and technology services, offers its heartfelt congratulations.
In order to deliver scalability, distinct features, high performance, and expandability to Industry 4.0 in order to transform their internal operations, Tata Motors worked with TATA Elxsi to adopt and adapt the TETHER Connected Vehicle Platform (CVP) toward a common standard technology stack in the early months of 2019.
Fleet Edge for CV, iRA for PV, and Zconnect for EV are the brands Tata Motors used to instal the TETHER CVP, which offers capabilities including track-and-trace, geo-fencing and alerts, driver behaviour monitoring, and fuel efficiency monitoring. In order to improve the customer experience, they also offer secure and restricted access to the platform and pertinent data with its larger partner ecosystem, including dealers and suppliers.
TETHER CVP was created as a modular platform that can be expanded to provide a variety of solutions with apps from third parties via APIs. It is also a 5G-ready architecture with the ability to manage huge scalar traffic, enormous FOTA, and digital twin capabilities that support the OEM’s SDV roadmap.
