The Eighth Annual EXPO GD: Sungrow Presents Latest Innovations to Fuel the Brazilian Distributed Generation Market

54 0
During the EXPO GD, Sungrow, a global leader in the inverter and energy storage systems industry, showcased its latest PV inverter solutions designed specifically for the Brazilian distributed generation (DG) market.
Advised by ABGD, the Brazilian Association of Distributed Generation, the EXPO GD is the largest distributed generation event in Latin America. This event unites numerous competent minds to chart the future of the powerful industry and discuss the opportunities that lie ahead.

Brazil has achieved a milestone in its distributed-generation solar capacity, reaching 24 GW by the end of September, according to the Brazilian government's energy regulator. In spite of this, the market continues to face challenges due to a lack of competitive financing and increasing price pressures. During this period, Sungrow, one of the largest players in the industry, is prepared to update its operations and to innovate so that end consumers have access to new solutions.
There were a number of one-phase and three-phase solutions offered by Sungrow to cater to the small-scale distributed solar generation market (microgeneration), with installations of up to 75kVA. One of these innovative products is the SG15/20/25CX-P2-LV series designed specifically for the 220V microgeneration solar market with a three-phase voltage. In addition to offering a power rating of 15/20/25 kW and a DC input current of 30A per MPPT, these products are compatible with PV modules that exceed 550W in size.
Moreover, the market for larger distributed generation (minigeneration) projects is also on the rise. According to the previous regulations (prior to Law 14,300), power plants exceeding 75 kVA can still be connected until the first of 2024 under the old regulation. With an inverter power capacity of up to 333 kW, Sungrow offers customers a wide range of options.
After a six-year presence in Brazil, Sungrow has established a dedicated team to provide comprehensive services such as sales, technical support, and after-sales assistance to customers. In the announcement made during Intersolar South America 2023, it was announced that its cumulative PV inverter orders contracted for Latin America have reached 15 GW. As a company committed to understanding and aligning with the needs of its customers, Sungrow contributes to the growth of the renewable energy sector and the development of clean energy solutions.. Through its sustainable development and innovation initiatives, the Company has been able to establish itself as a trusted partner in Brazil's evolving energy landscape.
