The World Display Industry Conference 2022 (WCDI) will be held in Chengdu, one of the world’s most significant hubs for the developing display industry, from November 30 to December 1.
The Sichuan Provincial Government and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly sponsor WCDI, which aims to promote the most cutting-edge innovative technologies and developments in the industry while also fostering international exchanges and cooperation in the supply of new displays and industrial chains.
Leading academics, including Thomas Sargent, the 2009 Nobel Prize in Economics, scientists, and businesspeople from BOE, TCL Technology, Corning Incorporated, Samsung Display, and other top companies will attend the conference.
The event, according to the organizers, is crucial for the growth of new display industries in Sichuan and Chongqing, drawing many of those industries’ resources to the Chengdu-Chongqing area.
The first colour and black and white picture tubes in China were both created in Chengdu. Here, in recent years, it has been possible to observe the mentioned industry’s dynamic development.
