The World Young Scientists Summit, which was held in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, China from November 9th to 12th, 2023, was a great success.
The WYSS is to focus on the theme of "Converging the World's Talents, Creating a Better Future." Over the four days main event, there will be an opening ceremony and closing ceremony, 13 main forums, and four special sessions, all under the theme of "Converging the World's Talents, Creating a Better Future." At the forum, more than 4500 guests from 46 countries and regions were invited to participate in various activities, representing 109 international scientific organizations, universities, and research institutions.

In this year's WYSS, over 3,040 youth participants participated, constituting approximately 68% of the total number. Over 380 speakers were present, including more than 250 young speakers, making up approximately 66% of the total number. As a way of emphasizing the summit's international nature, approximately 200 foreign guests attended, and over 90 foreign speakers participated, representing about 45% of the participants.
As part of this year's WYSS, there were several highlights to look forward to: Firstly, the opening ceremony emphasized a blend of scientific expression as well as artistic creativity. A second highlight of the event was the introduction of the inaugural "Young Scientist SDGs Award", which was given out during the opening session of the conference, to recognize three young scientists from both domestic and international research backgrounds. Lastly, a closing ceremony was introduced, which involved a self-guided informal exchange session, allowing young participants from different countries to freely interact and showcase their talents in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, allowing young people to get to know each other.
