On 15-16 November 2022, following the APSCO Leadership Development Forum over the previous 2 days, the 16th Council Meeting was conducted.
Hong Kong Aerospace Technology Group Limited (HKATG; 01725. HK) was the only privately held company represented at the roundtable, and it gained a great deal of insight as a result.
The Group has signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO), becoming the first commercial aerospace company to establish a partnership with the organisation and thus reflecting its pivotal role in the field of commercial aerospace. The Group has also established friendly relations with representatives of government agencies, business units, and scientific research institutions from Peru, Mongolia, Pakistan, Malaysia, and Thailand.
Because of HKATG’s unparalleled leadership in the sector, APSCO is partnering with a private company for the first time ever. There are a few important things to remember about the collaboration MOU’s signing: 1. The development of commercial aerospace around the world would benefit greatly from a comprehensive strengthening of the cooperation between the HKATG and the APSCO. 2. Take full advantage of HKATG’s potential so that it can aid in APSCO member countries’ modernization efforts, economic growth, and population well-being; 3. Provides members with access to state-of-the-art manufacturing and satellite launch facilities. It is hoped that with this MOU HKATG would be able to accelerate its satellite production.
