Etter Hoang, Senior Director of Data Analytics at Tampa General Hospital (TGH), has won recognition on a national scale for his pioneering efforts in expanding the use of health care data analytics. Hoang has been included in the list of 104 rising stars in healthcare leadership for 2022 published by the online and print journal Becker’s Hospital Review.
As a member of Tampa General’s Data Council and Executive Analytics Steering Committee, Hoang manages the Tampa General Enterprise Analytics team and directs the creation of an enterprise vision and strategy for analytics. Hoang’s team supports data governance and architecture, analytics education, a centre of excellence, and an expanding bioinformatics and clinical research team under his direction. Hoang and his colleagues make sure that data is accessible to Tampa General’s clinical teams, that it can be used by them, and that it supports prescriptive methods and wisdom to guide data-driven decisions.
