To begin, the project is expected to cost $123.35 million in Wilson County, North Carolina.

The first footprint of the company’s commercial-scale production plant in the United States is estimated at 200,000 square feet, with room for future growth.
CEO Nicole Johnson-Hoffman is certain that their new facility will help BELIEVER Meats become a market leader in the cultivated meat business. “With the opening of our new facility in the United States, we have demonstrated once again our dedication to expanding our manufacturing infrastructure to meet rising demand. To ensure that future generations have access to and may enjoy meat, BELIEVER is leading the way internationally.”
Because of the region’s success in integrating technology-driven solutions to better the lives of citizens, as well as the availability of a highly qualified talent pool, the company investigated various established manufacturing corridors in Eastern North Carolina.
North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper remarked, “We’re happy to welcome Believer Meats to North Carolina.” By locating its first U.S. commercialization operation in Wilson County, the company has “validated our creative R&D and highly qualified workforce” and “further consolidated our state’s position as the best in the nation to do business.”
