“Our team was tough and surmounted a range of challenges like Covid-19, weather, the supply chain, and geopolitical concerns,” stated Sergio Aguirre, president and chief operating officer of Gogo. “They achieved it in less than 12 months.” “Our network deployment and field operations teams have accomplished some amazing things,”
The contiguous United States is currently covered by the 5G network, and starting in 2023, Canada will be added. The website of Gogo includes a complete map of 5G coverage.
Gogo 5G has been developed to give high throughput with extremely low latency to meet the growing need for data-heavy interactive services like video conferencing, live TV, and gaming. Gogo 5G is anticipated to deliver 25 Mbps on average, with peak speeds in the 75-80 Mbps range.
With easy upgrade paths to both Gogo 5G and Gogo’s future global Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite-based product, Gogo’s AVANCE platform gives customers the ability to future-proof their inflight connectivity investments. This is made possible by its multi-bearer capability and software-centric design.
