In Côte d’Ivoire, a landlocked country in West Africa, POWERCHINA is putting its whole heart and soul into implementing the ideas of in-depth collaboration, mutual contribution, and shared advantages. Once POWERCHINA completes construction on Gribo-Popoli, the Sassandra River will become a driving force in the economic and social growth of China and its neighbours.

This project will assist improve the West African Power Pool and reduce Côte d’Ivoire’s electricity crisis. Together, the project’s benefits—which include the conservation of scarce fossil energy sources, diminished pollution, and reduced environmental stress–are substantial. Furthermore, it may effectively stimulate the employment rate, raise tax revenues, and advance the growth of the construction materials and services industries. Developing it will have significant positive effects on Ivory Coast’s economy, both socially and monetarily.

Construction of the plant, the spillway, the dam, the cofferdam, rock extraction, and temporary construction are all now under progress. Construction firms have worked tirelessly to overcome technological obstacles, challenging local geological circumstances, and the epidemic, tying together the hopes of both peoples with the importance of learning to live with one another despite their differences.
