Leica Cine 1 was on exhibit at the Hisense booth at CES 2023 on January 5th, serving as a testament to the two parties’ excellent working relationship. According to Stephan Albrecht, Managing Director of Leica Smart Projection GmbH, Hisense and Leica Camera will continue to strengthen their technological partnership in the Laser TV segment in the upcoming phase by releasing new products that are all in the premium segment and focused on the highest level of image quality.
Reasons for Hisense and Leica’s Collaboration
Leica Camera has been attempting to expand into the field of laser TV projection, and Hisense has been looking for ways to enhance the laser TV sector. The two powerful brands decided to work together to advance the TV industry.
Leica has been interested in entering the rapidly expanding laser television market, but this would not have been possible without Hisense since it has emerged as a global pioneer in the field with 1,700 related patents, according to Matthias Harsch, CEO of Leica Camera AG, when speaking about the motivations behind this collaboration.
Working with Leica fits Hisense’s goals for development because it has always understood the value of partnerships. Hisense’s Laser TVs can produce crisper and more detailed images thanks to Leica’s superior optical technology, which can serve as a great starting point for the company’s future home theatre and short-focus Laser TV products.
