Trip.com sees increase in visits after China expands visa-free travel to 6 countries

It has been announced that China will expand the scope of its unilateral visa-free policy to ordinary passport holders from six countries, including France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Malaysia. The policy will be implemented on a trial basis initially.
It is the intention of the government of China that, between December 1, 2023 and November 30, 2024, ordinary passport holders from the countries listed above will be able to visit China without a visa for up to 15 days for business, leisure, and transit. There is a high probability that this new policy will facilitate more convenient travel for Chinese citizens and promote closer ties between China and the countries involved in it.
