We renamed our main page kinds three months ago, along with the introduction of Dark Mode with intelligent colour management and new methods to customise your notes. The freeform page became the Note, while Nebo’s standard page became the Document. Although we didn’t mention it at the time, this was a preview of some cutting-edge technology we were developing.

In order to provide a truly free note-taking experience and remove any distractions that would hinder our customers’ creativity, we first introduced our expanded freeform canvas, the Nebo Note. Our technology wasn’t quite ready to give the interactive ink capabilities that our users are accustomed to from the Nebo Document, even though our handwriting recognition engine was running in the background.
While our developers discovered new methods to push technological limits, our User Experience (UX) specialists gathered a tonne of input and observed how users interacted with the Note’s flexible play environment. We were interested in finding out more about the canvas’s advantages and disadvantages.
Our analysis showed that the needs of our customers were perfectly in line with the idea we’ve had for Nebo from the beginning: a magical piece of technology that can read anything you write, regardless of where or how you write it.
