The ultimate recipient of LG Electronics’ (LG) LIFE’S GOOD AWARD, which supports international innovators taking on challenges to help create a Better Life for All, has been announced. The South Korean company Dot Inc. received the Grand Prix.
Following the final stage of the competition, which took place on January 16 at the LIFE’S GOOD AWARD Conference at LG Sciencepark in Seoul, Korea, where each of the teams presented their creative solutions, the jury ranked the top four teams. Additionally present were CSO Lee Sam-soo and CTO Dr. Kim Byoung-hoon, two of LG’s own leaders who oversee the company’s ESG management.
The honour exemplifies LG’s ESG mission of a Better Life for All, which aims to promote a more promising future for both the environment and people. The Better Life Plan 2030, the company’s long-term ESG programme, has two main goals: accessibility and environmental sustainability. The creative solutions put forth by the four winners demonstrate the capability and promise of technology-for-good to have a positive global influence.
Dot Inc. of South Korea won the Grand Prize and USD 700,000 in prize money, followed by SOLUTUM of Israel in second place ($200,000), Day1Lab of South Korea in third place ($100,000), and NONA Technologies of the United States in fourth place ($50,000).
