Winter WINEland will be the first event of 2023, according to Wine Road, a destination marketing organisation comprising wineries and hotels in Northern Sonoma County. Winter WINEland, which runs from January 14 to 15, 2023, from 11 am to 4:00 pm each day, offers wine enthusiasts the chance to visit stunning Sonoma County when it’s less busy and to partake in wine tastings at any of the 70 participating wineries. Event goers frequently meet winemakers who discuss limited production wines and new releases as well as find amazing wine deals so they can restock their wine cellars after the holidays because it’s winter and the vines are essentially sleeping.
Our vineyards are thrilled to host events once more and to welcome visitors back to Sonoma County “says Wine Road’s executive director Beth Costa. “The number of participating wineries has increased by 20 from our recently concluded, wildly successful Wine & Food Affair to 70 for Winter WINEland. We anticipate the same number of visitors—if not more—for Winter WINEland, and we want guests to make the most of the three-day weekend by exploring Sonoma County.”
Visitors can visit any of the 70 participating wineries that weekend after selecting their check-in winery during the ticket purchasing process. Reservations are no longer necessary at each winery for the Winter WINEland event because the format has restored to pre-pandemic standards. All guests will get their weekend wristband, tasting glass, and six-bottle wine bag at check-in. Tickets cost $95 for the entire weekend, $75 for only Sunday, and $10 for designated weekend drivers (we do not offer a Saturday only ticket). There are no refunds for this event.
Each vineyard will also have a colourful, festive photo background to remember the weekend as a throwback to Winter WINElands past. By taking a snapshot at each winery, visitors may create their own photo album of weekend memories. Social media posts should include the hashtags #winterwineland2023 and #wineroadlife if you want to share.
